BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Bridgeport resident Herminia Rios died on Tuesday, May 10. She was 90.
Rios was born in Naranjito, Puerto Rico on June 4, 1925, to Lorenzo and Claudia (Morales) Rios.
She worked in Bridgeport at The Salvation Army.
She is survived by daughters Gloria Vidal, Olga Nellie Rivera, Jacinta Winn, Lucy Cintron, and Annette Nieves, a grandson Jeffrey A. Rivera, whom she raised as a son, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lorenzo and Claudia (Morales) Rios; sons, Victor Manuel, Marcelino, and Jose M. Rivera, and several brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Road.
Burial will immediately follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Bridgeport.
